was held on Sunday Sept. 14th 2014

Doorus Orchard Community Garden Celebrated ten years this September with a Harvest picnic. The sun shone and the day was great.

There was a huge turnout of almost 500 people. Many brought their own picnic but food was also supplied by the Crepe stall and Coffee stall from Kinvara's Farmers Market along with Mercedes and family making us of the pizza oven.

Garden games were on hand to entertain young and old, as well as music by Johnny Moynihan and friends.

There was apple tasting and a raffle, which was won by Anita McGonagle- she will recieve an apple tree from the Irish Seed Savers. The most popular apple variety on the day was the Kerry Pippin followed by Scarlet Crofton.
