There's always something new going on at the orchard, plans being carried out or just being formed- like the idea for a bowles court........
Below are some of the jobs in progress and recent events...
Plans for Winter 2014/ 2015
We require a larger shed to fit garden tools and the lawnmower. So plans are afoot to design and build a shed. We also need to have a couple of new picnic tables made, with an overhang for wheelchair users. We're hoping to improve accessibility generally in the garden.
We have plans for a 'Flora's Garden', I imgine it as quite floral in nature!

Nationwide filming
Nationwide came to us at the orchard in August and spent the day filming. It was a lovely sunny day and the community garden was looking great. We had lots of visitors, and the pizza oven was lit. The two orchard cats intraining were looking cute for the cameras too!

The workshop tunnel
This new tunnel was just put up in autumn 2013, and isn't finished. So we're hoping to tidy it up, add / make tables, and a window to the front, and also plumb in a sink.
The new pergola
This has been wired up for climbers and planted with a passion fruit, a grape and a couple of kiwis on one side- the other side still to do.
The Seed Saving Garden
Like many areas at the orchard the seed saving garden needs digging over in preparation for spring planting. we're plannig to move it a new and better area for 2015.
Grass cutting, weeding and mulching go on all year round.
